About Us

The Dingle family has bred cattle for five generations. In 1928, Charles Edward Dingle and his sons Linton and Roy established the Goomaram farm by clearing land and developing it for dairy, crops, and beef cattle. After Charles retired, Linton and Mary Dingle took over management.

Linton and Mary Dingle managed the property until 1975, after which their son Arnie and his wife Lorna (Murray) converted it to a beef cattle operation. They had three children—Peter, Helan, and Brian—and later expanded by purchasing block 60.

After finishing high school, Peter Dingle returned to help his father on the farm. In the early 1980s, they tested several cattle breeds and found Brangus best suited to their land. Despite challenging dry years in the late '80s and '90s, Brangus cattle adapted well, maintained fertility, and met market requirements.

In 1985, Peter’s partner Kristine Steinback, now known as Kristine Dingle, joined the family. Their son, Kristopher Dingle, was born soon after and represents the fifth generation of Dingles on the land, with an interest in cattle farming. The Dingle family expanded their holdings by acquiring nearby properties, including New Haven and River Junction, followed by Mally Plain in 2010, Pinedale in 2016, McLeods in 2020, Baywulla in 2022, and Glenel in 2024.

In the late 1990s, Peter and Kristine began developing a Brangus stud by acquiring select females and using some of their own cattle. Their enthusiasm led to the founding of Redline Brangus in 2000.

Arnie and Lorna Dingle semi-retired in 2006, passing management of the properties to Peter and Kristine Dingle. With three generations—Arnie, Peter, and Kristopher Dingle—involved, Redline Brangus benefited from a blend of experience and fresh perspective to achieve its goals.

Kristopher Dingle married Donna Baker in 2015. They have two daughters: Blossom Elsa (born 3 February 2018) and Goldie Majorie (born 22 November 2021). Both girls are adjusting well to farm life and hopefully will represent the next generation on the land.

Redline Brangus manages around 1,000 registered breeders, selects 160–200 bulls each year for sale, and sells the rest as MSA - EU Grasslands bullocks. Top females are kept for breeding, some are sold to other farms, and the remainder are sold as trade heifers.
