About Us

The Dingle family have been breeding cattle for five generations. Charles Edward Dingle and his two sons Linton and Roy Dingle selected the home block, Goomaram, in 1928. They cleared the land and turned this block into a viable farm. For many years they had a dairy, cropped, and also had a number of beef cattle. When Charles Dingle retired, Linton and his wife Mary Dingle took over the running of this property.

Linton and Mary Dingle run this property until they retired in 1975, and then their son Arnie Dingle with his wife Lorna Dingle (Murray) took over, changing this farming land to a total Beef cattle operation. Arnie and Lorna had 3 children, Peter, Helan and Brian Dingle. Arnie and Lorna Dingle expanded their operation by purchasing block 60.

As history repeats, Arnie & Lorna Dingle’s son, Peter, finished high school and came home to help his father work on the land. In the early 80s, they trialled a few different breeds of cattle and found that Brangus Cattle suited this country. In the later 80s, 90s, they had some very tough dry years, but the Brangus cattle were able to adapt well to the tough seasonal conditions and displayed good fertility and still had the ability to meet market specifications.

In 1985, Peter’s girlfriend Kristine Steinback now Kristine Dingle came onto the scene and soon after their son Kristopher Dingle was born. Kristopher is the 5 generation of Dingle’s on the land and is also a very keen cattleman. The Dingle family have kept expanding by purchasing surrounding blocks – New Haven and River Junction. And then, years later, Mally Plain in 2010, Pinedale in 2016 and McLeods 2020.

In the late 90s, Peter and Kristine decide to move towards a stud operation purchasing some select females from other studs and enrolling some of their own. Their passion for Brangus cattle reinforced their decision to start a Brangus Stud. Redline Brangus was established in 2000.

Arnie and Lorna Dingle semi-retired in 2006 and Peter and Kristine Dingle took over the properties. With 3 generations of the Dingle family actively involved with the running of these properties, Arnie Dingle, Peter Dingle and his son Kristopher Dingle, provided a unique combination of experience, youth and drive which helped Redline Brangus achieve their goals.

In 2015 Kristopher Dingle married Donna Baker and they now have two beautiful little girls – Blossom Elsa Dingle born on 3 Feburary 2018 and Goldie Majorie Dingle born on 22 November 2021.  Both girls have settled into farm life and hopefully our next generation on the land.

Redline Brangus is now running approximately 750 Red Brangus breeders where we select between 140 to 160 bulls annually to be sold and the remainder males are sold as bullocks to the Jap Ox market. The tops of our females are retained for our own breeding program, some are sold to other properties for breeding and the remainder as trade heifers. Which give us a total herd size of approximately 2000.
